Self-esteem is important, but compassion is too. How do you know when your self-involvment might be symptomatic of an unhealthy personality disorder? In this video we animated for TED-ED, psychologist and author W. Keith Campbell discusses the traits of narcissists.

Campbell was also interviewed about the book he co-authored with Jean M. Twenge, The Narcissism Epidemic, on The Agenda with Steve Paiken.
